Advocates for Safe Roads Workshop
Thousands die each year in tragic crashes involving teen and cell phone distracted drivers. Those with loved ones involved in these crashes have powerful stories to tell. FocusDriven and the HEARTS Network are coming together to host the Advocates for Safe Roads Workshop. This free 2-day workshop is for people who have been adversely affected by crashes involving teen or cell phone distracted drivers.
The purpose of the workshop is to help develop the skills needed to educate communities and others about safe teen driving practices.
Our objectives for the 2-day workshop are to:
-
Create a nationwide cadre of survivor advocates who speak about teen and distracted driving in a unified voice
-
Enable team building and face-to-face connection with each other
-
Provide training on specific skills to better enable effective advocacy
We are doing everything we can to keep costs down for the workshop. While it is free to attend, we are asking that attendees cover their own travel expenses (hotel, airline tickets, etc.). See travel sponsorship tips below.
If you would like to attend the Advocates for Safe Roads Workshop and money is an issue, we are developing tips that may help you secure a travel sponsorship. This is an invitation-only event.
If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact info@focusdriven.org.
